Rumours about Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming project Ramayan have been circulating on the internet for a while now. The ambitious film has gained attention, with reports suggesting Ranbir Kapoor has been finalised to play Ram, Alia Bhatt as Sita , and Yash as Ravan. Amid all this, Alia was recently spotted at Mumbai airport in the early hours of Thursday, and then the paparazzi referred to her as “Sita ji.”
In a viral video posted on Instagram, the photographer captured the moment as Alia Bhatt got out of her car and started calling her “Sita ma’am and “Sita ji.” Clearly, this embarrassed her, and she hid her face in response.
As soon as the video took place on social media, netizens started giving their reactions. One user wrote, “Sita ji bolo koi aapke masi ki beti nhi h give some respect brother devta ko aap isse compare karre ho.”
The second user wrote, “Sita mam??? Bhai pehle dekh to sahi.. fir bolo ye kya jane Sita ma ki pavitra ta… Humko nhi dekhni inki , Ranbir ram bhagvan ka roll!!!”
The third user wrote, “Hab hai yaar tum log na kisi ko bhi Sita Mata bana deta ho issi liye kahte ki ramayan padho ye Aaj kaal ki ladkiya Sita Mata ke paar chune ke layak hai baas.”
The fourth user wrote, “Bollywood bi kitna kamal hai inaki films chal nahi rahi to ab ye 5 baar ramayan bana lenge jo hamane already dekhi hui hai.”
Regarding the ongoing rumours about Ramayan casting, reports suggest that the film is likely to commence shooting in December of this year with Ranbir, Yash, Alia in the lead roles.
